Description
‘Something Old Something New’ is the second album by Irish harper composer Fiana Ní Chonaill This album blends traditional music and new compositions, presenting harp-specific repertoire, slow airs, jigs, reels, hornpipes, as well as newly composed music.
The recording features a number of guest musicians, including Alan Reid – Bouzouki & Bodhrán, Malcolm Bushby – Violin, Denise Kennedy – Piano and Úna Heaney – Violin, Viola & Cello (track 6), whose playing adds depth and texture throughout the album.
Recorded, Mixed, and Mastered by Jack Talty in Raelach Studios, Cloonselherny, Co. Clare, the project extends beyond sound into the visual realm.
